UPSC CSAT Syllabus 2013 Exam Pattern Model Sample Paper www.upsccsat.gov.in


UPSC CSAT Syllabus 2013- UPSC conducts the CSAT (Civil Services Aptitude Test) for civil services main exam. Now CSAT will conduct on 19th May 2013. Candidates who will apply against UPSC CSAT they can read this section for getting details about CSAT Syllabus, CSAT Sample Paper and CSAT Pattern. Candidates must see below for getting details about CSAT 2013.



UPSC CSAT Exam Pattern- CSAT covers two following papers:

Paper I- General Awareness (GK Preparation Tips)
Paper II- Logical Reasoning skills/Decision making skills/problem solving skills/Communication skills etc. Reasoning Preparation Tips

 Each paper contains 200 marks which duration is two hours. This paper is objective type paper.

UPSC CSAT Syllabus 2013-
Paper I- Paper I consist following sections: GK Preparation Tips
·         Current events of national and international importance
·         History of India and Indian National Movement
·         Indian and World Geography - Physical, Social, Economic geography of India and the World
·         Indian Polity and Governance - Constitution, Political System, Panchayati Raj, Public Policy, Rights Issues, etc
·         Economic and Social Development - Sustainable Development, Poverty, Inclusion, Demographics, Social Sector Initiatives, etc
·         General issues on Environmental ecology, Bio-diversity and Climate Change - that do not require subject specialization
·         General Science.

Paper II-Paper II covers following topics: Civil Services Exam Preparation Tips
·         Comprehension
·         Interpersonal skills including communication skills
·         Logical reasoning and analytical ability
·         Decision making and problem solving
·         General mental ability
·         Basic numeracy (numbers and their relations, orders of magnitude etc.) (Class X level), Data interpretation (charts, graphs, tables, data sufficiency etc. -Class X level)
·         English Language Comprehension skills (Class X level) English Preparation Tips

Paper I

Paper II
