Panasonic Recruitment 2012-2013 – Panasonic, the Japanese electronic products giant is going to recruit over 3500 people by 2018, the process of which is scheduled to start shortly, as made clear by an official announcement. One of the officials said that Panasonic India said will "provide employment to 1,500 people in the first phase and over 2,000 in the second by 2018," while inaugurating the 76-acre plant in Jhajjura, Currently, the company has a work force of around 12,650 people in India.
Jhajjar pant is said to have an initial capacity of producing 10 lakh ACs, 4 lakh washing machines and 25000 welding and cutting machines per annum. The plant was inaugurated by the Chief Minister of Haryana, Bhupinder Singh Hooda.
The company is also looking forward to get a target of Rs 25,000 crore turnover by 2015 as revenue. Panasonic India President Daizo Ito said "Today's opening of this factory will fuel our first priority goal in India of doubling our revenue in 2012-13."
In 2012-13, from its Indian operations, the company is targeting sales revenue of Rs 10,000 crore. One of the officials also mentioned that: "Panasonic shall focus on making India a manufacturing hub and will export products from India to other markets like Middle East and African region".
The new Jhajjar unit is expected to export 5 per cent products by 2013, which will further expected to be increased to 20 per cent by 2015.
