CAT is a Common Admission Test which started by the Indian Institutes of Management (IIMs) for admission to various management programmes in IIMs and other prestigious MBA institutes in India. Those students who want to take admissions in IIMs for doing MBA they all have to attempts the exam of CAT. Candidates who will attempt the CAT Exam they must know which type of paper will come in exam. Therefore we are mentioned CAT Exam pattern and selection process of CAT.
CAT Exam Pattern 2014 – CAT is a computer based test which divided on two following sections:
· Quantitative Ability & Data Interpretation
· Verbal Ability & Logical Reasoning (Reasoning Preparation Tips)
Time duration: The both sections are executed one after another with separate time limits. The CAT exam is of 155 minutes which is divided into various sections. There will be a negative marking for every wrong answer. Test will contain about 60 questions.
Cat Selection Process 2014-
IIM shortlisted candidates will be selected through the performance of following steps:
Written Ability Test (WAT)
Group Discussions (GD)
Personal Interviews (PI)
List of shortlisted candidates for the next level of selection will be made available on the individual IIM websites. Each IIM will send interview letters to the candidates which would be short-listed.
When CAT result will announce then all the IIMs start calling to the selected candidates for the further steps of admission. Academic cut-offs also help for short listing the candidates.
If a candidate gets selected by any of the IIMs for admission then, he/she needs to furnish the documents proving their eligibility and reservations if applicable. (Documents Required for Counselling)
