With new norms provided for IBPS Exam Syllabus 2016 there has been change in syllabus of Bank PO syllabus, Bank Clerk syllabus, specialist officer syllabus 2016.

New pattern of syllabus and questions from each portion had been provided below so that aspirant could prepare for the exam accordingly.

Bank PO Syllabus:

Five portions are divided for the objective exam and separate portion for descriptive paper had been provided.

Reasoning – It contains following topics:

  • Symbol & Notation
  • Statement & Conclusion
  • Sitting Arrangement
English language:

  • Synonyms & Antonyms etc.
Quantitative aptitude – Arithmetic abilities.
  • Arithmetic & Data Interpretation

  • Pie-Charts
  • Line Graphs & Tabulation
  • Roots
  • Average
  • Ratio
  • Time & Work
  • Time And Distance
  • Percentage
  • Profit & Loss
General Awareness – Common questions on banking and general knowledge.

Computer Knowledge – Basic computer skills are examined.

A descriptive paper is separately of 1 hour duration with essay writing, passage writing and letter writing.

Marks weight age for descriptive paper is maximum 25 marks.

Bank Clerk Syllabus 2016:

This exam is of 2 hour duration and in this paper Quantitative portion is replaced by numerical abilities, rest everything remains same as bank PO exam

Numbers of questions are less in this paper than bank PO.

Syllabus for Specialist Officer:

For this paper there is optional choice between English and Hindi language with same weight age given to both papers.
